Berean Baptist Church’s Women’s Ministry offers opportunities for growth, fellowship and service designed for women of all ages and stages in life. In addition to the programs listed on this page, periodic retreats and workshops address specific topics and provide time for rest and reflection. Contact Danielle Davis if you have any questions about Berean’s Women’s Ministry.
Ladies’ Sunday School Class
Sunday Mornings, 10:30 AM. Ladies of any age, in any stage of life, are welcome to join the Ladies’ Sunday School Class on Sunday mornings for Bible Study, fellowship, and sharing, led by Vickie DeCamp, Lynn Ford & Suzanne Smith.
Bible/Book Studies & Discipleship
Generally offered in the fall and spring (with occasional summer studies), small groups of women meet together to study straight from God’s Word or from an edifying book that will take them to God’s Word. These meetings are most often weekly with the length of the study at the discretion of the leader, but generally 6-10 weeks long.
Women’s Ministry Fellowship
Four or five times a year, our women are given the opportunity to meet for a fellowship gathering. Ranging from a simple game or movie night to a more elaborate holiday event, all are encouraging, inspiring and fun for women of all ages. Contact Debbie Dehart if you have questions about these events or if you have a suggestion for a fun activity!
Joyful Mom
Joyful Mom is a ministry for mothers of young children that meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 9:30 AM, and 2nd and 4th Wednesdays at 6:30 PM from September through May. Each meeting consists of fellowship & food, a speaker, and small group time. The moms also benefit from Mentor Moms, a group of “seasoned” moms who share wisdom & encouragement from their years of motherhood. Childcare is provided in the morning session only for children from birth through kindergarten in the Joyful Kids program, designed to share the love of Christ with children.
Craftology
For those women who like to combine fellowship and creativity in one fun event, Craftology Weekends are just the thing! Two or three times a year, the Fellowship Hall is transformed into a large workspace for Friday and Saturday. Women gather to work on whatever craft they have going on at the time, come and go as schedules allow, and enjoy the fellowship of seasoned friendships and new friendships made. Contact Karen Galvin for more information about Craftology Weekends.
