Berean Baptist Church offers a fully-staffed nursery for infants and one-year-olds during Sunday School, AM & PM church services, and Wednesday Family Night Ministry. All nursery workers are members of Berean, and the rooms are staffed at a 1:3 ratio in the infant nursery and 1:4 in the toddler nursery. We also offer a room for nursing mothers behind the infant nursery room.
We have a team of nursery check-in staff who each week greet families and bring the babies & toddlers to the nursery rooms. We use an electronic check-in system through Planning Center Online that prints out a name tag with information about the child, and offer pagers in case the child needs a parent. At check-out, the check-in staff will put the diaper bags in the hall by the nursery and bring the children to their parents as they arrive. For safety & security purposes, children will only be released to parents unless other arrangements have been made.
Snacks are offered during each hour and are generally limited to the nursery-provided options: Cheerios & puffs in the infant nursery; animal crackers & Rice Chex (gluten-free) in the toddler nursery.
Wednesday night nursery is reserved for children of parents who are involved in Berean’s Family Ministry Night.
Our sick child policy: Any child with a fever higher than 100 within the last 24 hours, non-clear nasal discharge or non-asthmatic excessive cough will not be allowed in the nursery. We follow the CDC guidelines for determining when a child may re-enter the nursery.
If you have any questions about the nursery, please contact Jessica Van Dyke.
